Jack and I piled his one piece of luggage and one carry-on into my van, and headed up to JFK Airport today. We made great time...I literally just dropped him off, then turned around and headed home. It was an international flight, obviously, and I couldn't really wait for him...and I didn't want to get stuck in rush hour New York traffic. I was home by 5.
I am so excited for him....what an amazing opportunity. He is studying with a Notre Dame program--he is taking two core Engineering classes, which is great for him. I am shocked that he takes 5 classes each semester. We never took more than 4 each semester at Bucknell. This program is intense, but it has about 75 students in it, and they plan fun excursions for weekends....which is good if he doesn't have to do the planning.
He will be missed around here...but I couldn't be more excited...how often do you get a chance to live in Rome, take classes, and just enjoy your summer??
