Thanksgiving Weekend in HersheyPark

Ever since Jack and Anna were babies, we have been going to Hersheypark in Hershey, PA to begin to celebrate the Christmas season.   They light up the park with thousands of lights, they play Christmas music, and it is very festive...a great way to get excited for the holidays.

We have been going on Thanksgiving weekend, because it is usually warm enough to be enjoyable.   No, the outdoor water rides aren't open, and neither are the roller coasters, but there are a lot of rides that are open, and you are outside most of the time.

The first thing we always do is compare their height against the Hershey figures--Anna, Timmy, and Matthew are Jolly Ranchers.

                   Lily is a .

Do you see how pretty the lights are?  I took awful pictures....these don't begin to show how pretty it is.

One of our favorite stops is always to go see Santa's reindeer....the reindeer were all up, and they were actually playing with each other.    Someone commented that it looked like they were playing reindeer games!

As we were leaving, we got these some'ores--they were a mess!

Our last stop was Chocolate World--look at how inviting it is!

The Hershey Shop has a huge amount of special Hershey candies in special packaging...these were chocolate gingerbread house kits--I had to get one!

We left the park and drove to see Sweet Lights--the drive through light show...to be honest, the traffic was terrible, and it took us almost an hour to go through....not sure I would do it again next year (of course my children loved it!)

Happy Family...but we were missing Jack!
